In these challenging times we have instituted a number of new policies and procedures to minimize contact and ensure the safety and well being of our guests and staff.
1) Welcome Call / Welcome Text: We will contact you 24-48 hours before you arrive to confirm your arrival time. Please ensure you are on island no later than 8pm. If you are planning on arriving later than 8pm please speak to a member of our staff.
2) Mask Policy: We will require a mask and hand sanitizer before you enter the lobby or any part inside the property. You do not have to wear a mask if you are sitting outside eating or drinking as long as you maintain 6 feet distance from other guests.
3) No Contact Check In - You will not be allowed to enter the lobby without answering the screening questions and having your temperature taken at check-in. One you have passed screening you will be directed to your room where your key will be waiting for you in your room. 4) No Cash: We will not accept any cash payments. We will only accept credit card, debit card or PayPal. We will charge the balance of your room the day of your arrival.
5) Breakfast: We will not be offering any breakfast service. We will deliver a simple breakfast to your door in the morning. You will have a choice of beverages - coffee, tea or hot chocolate. And a choice of baked goods - bagel, muffin or croissant. If you do not text us your breakfast choice before 8pm we will give you our standard house breakfast selection of Juice, water, baked good and fresh fruit.
6) No Entry Room Service: No member of our staff will enter your room at any time during your stay. If you need fresh towels or any items it will be delivered to your door in a bag and we will text you that it has arrived. Please use our house text service line for any requests. Narragansett House is a seasonal business, and cancellations have a considerable economic impact. We therefore adhere strictly to the cancellation policy. All reservations cancelled 21 days prior to arrival date will be refunded the deposit less a service fee of $50.
Notice of cancellation received in writing less than 21 days will forfeit Guests’ entire deposit. Shall Guests shorten their stay, Guests will still be accountable for the nights originally booked.
Narragansett House realizes that cancellations are oftentimes beyond Guests’ personal control. For this reason, we recommend considering purchasing a travel insurance of choice.
IF your cancellation reason was due to a government or local health order, issued in the last 21 days before your arrival date, that prohibits you from traveling we will refund your booking at no charge.
Maximum occupancy per room is 2 people.
A family suite is available for rooms 12 and 14 which together allow up to 4 people. Rooms must be booked in conjunction (see rates for details). We do welcome children, however any child over 2 years of age is counted as a guest and will require appropriate room and bed accommodations.
PENALTY FOR UNREGISTERED GUESTS
We know people sometimes want to squeeze in a friend or a child. However, the limits are set by the fire and safety officials. If the policy is disregarded, we will charge an additional $500 per night, per unregistered person that is in violation. We also have a right to cancel your remaining stay without a refund. This policy is strictly enforced to ensure safety and comfort of all guests.
We welcome children and families to enjoy the B&B. The vineyard is a place to make special memories for people of all ages. We welcome children and families to enjoy the B&B. If the child is under the of age of 2 (0-23 months) please bring age appropriate sleep cots for your child. Please contact us if you need to arrange any rentals of children cots as there are services on island that can assist you. Any child over 2 years old is counted as Guest, thus included in the room occupancy count.
Children under age 2 years (24 months) are welcome, as long as guests provide their own sleeping cots. Children 2 years and over are considered guests and count towards maximum occupancy.
Unfortunately due to allergies we cannot allow furry family members or pets of any kind.
All Major Credit Cards Accepted
Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Room rates do not include Massachusetts room occupancy excise tax of 5.7% and Oak Bluffs local room tax of 6% and are subject to change without prior notice. Gratuities for housekeeping staff are not included in the room rate. No cash is accepted on site.
Booking Deposit
50% total booking is due at booking. It is excluding state and local tax. Refundable up to 21 days prior to arrival less a service fee $50.
Minimum Stay Policy
Weekends - Friday & Saturday have a two (2) night minimum stay in effect all season.
Summer - July and August has a minimum two (2) night booking throughout the month.
Holiday Weekends & Special Events - Memorial Day, 4th July, Illumination Week, Labor Day & Columbus Day have a minimum three (3) night minimum in effect.

Due to COVID health concerns we have instituted a no-contact check in and checkout.

Check out: 11AM
Contact us prior to schedule and late or early arrival times. You will receive a check-in text within 24 hours of arrival.
No Contact Check-In
- Contact via text or call to confirm your arrival time.
- Text us from the porch when you arrive and a staff member will come out to greet you and take your temperature.
- Temperature screening will be done at check-in. An elevated temperature or signs of illness will prohibit you from entering the property.
- Our check-in staff will ask you 5 health & safety screening questions.
- No bags can be stored inside of property due to cross-contamination risk. We can offer a storage area outside on the porch. No staff can handle your bag for health and safety reasons.
- We will not enter your room at anytime during the duration of your stay. All requests will be done via text or phone at our service line #518-577-2938
Please note that access to all rooms requires the use of stairs. If you require an ADA accessible room please call the inn directly to inquire about arrangements.
Limited luggage storage is available on first come first served basis for Guests departing the same day immediately after check out. We can no longer store any bags inside the property but there is an outdoor storage area on the porch that guests can use. You leave your property at your own discretion and responsibility.
We no longer offer a continental breakfast buffet. We will take your breakfast orders the day before and leave your orders outside your door between 7:45 - 8:15am. If you do not make a selection we will leave a small house basket outside your door.
Due to sanitation concerns and possible cross-contamination we can no longer offer shared use of beach wagons, beach chairs or house library.
We do sell on site new books, new bathrobes, hotel t-shirts and other new merchandise.
Contact us prior to your vacation with any questions. We are here to offer you a safe and no-contact hospitality.

While accidents do happen, guests will be financially responsible for damage due to gross negligence and misconduct.
While we do not sell alcohol on the premises, guests must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcohol. As our common spaces are used by all guests, we ask everyone to drink responsibly and be considerate of others around them.
Narragansett House does not allow pets, except for the use of a service animal by a person with a disability
Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises.
